I love you too much
by JP

As far as the stars in the sky
I keep on asking myself why
Of all the stars in heaven your the special one for me
I keep on asking is this love?
Could this really be destiny?
Why I'm so inlove with you?

You are the answer
Your the one that i been prayin for and
The one above has given just what I'ved been lookin for and
I'm so amaze cant explain
I can believed
Desiring for your magical touch
I love you too much

And as we face forever
Know that you can depend on me
I will hold on to you
And to the one whose given me
Oh you were all I ever wish for

Sweet you're so beautiful
This is the moment that I've been waiting for all my life
And I thank the Lord for all the circumstances
I love you and I will always choose to love you

The Science of Result

By Joseph Librero

I thought I would never see a thing as lovely as a tree. This is one of the poem I really like and it ended with this line, ".. Only God can make a tree."

And it’s very interesting to note that the Bible says that we are like a tree. Intelligent! Right? It’s a great analogy. You see, if the Bible would have used an ostrich then I would have a hard time relating. I have never ever had a close observation with an ostrich but with a tree I’m sure everybody knows what a tree is. I'm pretty sure all of us know first hand what a tree is like. Here is a good point about a tree. A tree bears fruit. Now in the Bible, fruits are presented in many ways: There are spiritual fruits, fruits that last and that don't last. The Apostle Paul calls the church as the fruit of his labor. According to the Bible, we are going to judge by our fruits.

One way of looking at fruits, is simply results. According to Jim Rohn, RESULT is the name of the game. We are going to be judged in the results that we make. In the office our bosses will ask for what result! When we were still in school our teachers are looking at our results. God cares for our result. Let me tell you a story:

One day a very wise Master decided to go out on a trip. It doesn't say where He going but that day He called His three servants and gave them talents. It is said that one talent is equivalent to one year wage. To one he said, "I will give you 5 talents." To the other, he said, "I will give you two talents" and to the last servant, He gave one.

Now after a considerable time, the Master came back and He called His three servants to look at their results. The first servant was probably very excited, he said, "Master, you gave me five talents. It’s tough out there but I tried and tried and here I present to you five more talents." The Master replied, “Well done good and faithful servant. Now lets party!!"

The next servant came in and was also excited. With a wide grin in his face he said,

"Master, you gave me two talents, the marketplace was tough! A first no one wants to buy from me but then I finally learned how to succeed and here is two more talents!" The Master was ecstatic. "Well done good and faithful servant! Let’s party!!"

The last servant came in and with a low voice and a sad face, He said, "Master, I know you are a hard and wise man. And I was so afraid. I know the marketplace is going to be tough…and blah blah blah.. excuses and excuses… and I blame everybody else but myself.. .blah blah… so I hid the one and only talent you gave me and here it is." The Master lost His cool. That’s called proper response for the lack of results. The Master was so angry and punished the servant. He then ask His guards to take away the one talent and give it to the one with ten talents. This tells us one truth – if you bring in results more will be given to you. More will be given to those that are more. Unfair? Well that’s just what it is.

Now since we will be judged by our fruits then I suggest that we work on bearing fruits. Let’s not work complaining. We won’t bear good fruits complaining. Let’s work on our result. Do you think if we multiply our result it will not impact our value in the workplace? Of course we will! Do you think if you will work on how to have a happy family it will not impact our family? Of course it will. If we work on how we can be more wise in handling wealth we won't be financially free? Of course we will. So I challenge you now to work on your results. If you don't know where to start check out the Book where I quote the result parable – The Bible. And let the Book, teach and inspire you to bear fruit. If we do that expect the Master to tell you, "well done good and faithful servant. Now lets party!!"

God bless you!!

Life is so short not to…

By Joseph B. Librero

"I will live this day as if it is my last", declared Og Mandino in his book, The Greatest Salesman in the World.

Probably one of the greatest questions in life to ask is, “How does death impact your life?” For me, death means an end. It means that life is precious because it can end at any moment. Brad Pitt as Achilles in the movie, Troy said it this way, "The gods envy us because every moment could be our last." And indeed any moment could be our last. This could be my last speech. This could be the last time you see me eye to eye. :D I know that for some death is a serious topic. It's hard to talk about death but isn't amazing if you think about it how death gives value to life?

King David prayed to God this way, "Help me to number my days so that I may gain a heart of wisdom." I believe the prayer says something like this, if we only realize how short the time that we have, if we only realize that the clock is ticking at every move that we make and every decision that we make then we would be wiser is using the time the that we have.

I personally believe that life is too short. And here is my life is too short not to list:

First, life is too short not to smile and laugh. If you only you smile then it will give you a different perception of your situation. Your smile can impact you. Smiling opens your heart to joy. And joy lifts your spirit. I believe a smile can change the world. Try smiling to other people and you will see that most of them smile back. How its amazing how a one-second act can change people.

Og Mandino declared, "I will smile and my digestion will improve. I will chuckle and my burden will be lightened. I will laugh and my life will be lengthened. For this is the secret of long life and now its mine. I will laugh at the world."

Second, Life is too short not to do all you can. The Book of Proverbs says, "Whatever you hands find to do, do it with all of your might." Do all you can. Work all you can. Study all you can. Improve all you can. Do the best you can. If we live our lives as if it's our last then can not be our last be our best? So when our Master will come and evaluate our lives then we can be like, the Apostle Paul say, “I have run the race.. I have captured the price." Let us do all we can.

Lastly, Life is too short not to love. One of the greatest passages in the Scripture that talk about love is found in 1 Corinthians 13, part of it goes this way, “If I give all I have and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”

I think the poorest people in this world are those people who have not loved. Love your mother. Love your father. Love your family. And express that love. Tell them that you love them. Give them a hug and not just a hug, give them a tight hug so that they will feel how much you don’t want to let go of them. Tell them that they are important. Tell them how much you value them because if you will be silent about your feelings, your love doesn’t really amount to much. Life is too short not to show them that you love them. In the end, according to the passage in 1 Corinthians chapter 13, “Only three remains faith, hope, and love and the greatest of these is love.” Life is too short not to love.

Life is indeed short. And it is too short not to smile, not to do all you can, and not to love others and express that love. Live each day as if it were your last. I believe that it will change the way you will look at your life and others.

To end, let me quote Og Mandino this way, “I will live this day as if it is my last and if it is not, I will lift my eyes to the heavens and give praise.”

His Love Concert

I attended this concert with Joyce (my girlfriend) yesterday!!!
And I am very glad I attended this concert... I am so much blessed.

The way the song, Anak (by Freddie Aguilar) was performed was very captivating. The message of the song is very vibrant all throughout. It's just very amazing to be there. The passion for the music, the art, and his God (and my God) was just very evident all throughout.

There were a lot of surprises Paolo V. (Gary's 23 year-old son) sang one of my favorite - Stars, by Switchfoot. Gabriele V still is as amazing as his father. Gary also sang one of my all-time Gary V song - As You Are. It's not very popular but I love that song.

The whole night was very amazing and believe it or not nakahilak ku. :-) (I shed some tears because the concert touched me in many ways). I feel that it's God's way of reminding me to live with passion and work with my passion. You see, when I was still a little boy, Gary V. was always been my favorite. And somehow I could say that he was used by God to stir up my passion for God and life. Now that I have grown up it seems that I almost lost that passion. So its a call from the Heavens to bring me back to my passion.

Joyce also loved it. I could not tell how many times she told me how much she appreciated that I brought her there. We had one of the best Valentines day ever. It was amazing.

During that night, a guy was given the time to propose to his girl during the concert. It was quite an amazing moment to see a guy propose to a lady. It was my first time to see that kind of scene and I will forever cherish that moment. Later, when I propose I will dance or sing with Gary and tell my girl, "Will you marry me?".... waaaahh kilig moment.

When Gary comes back to Cebu I will still attend.

God bless you!

CE bookmarks

This is my first attempt to create a bookmark. hehehehehe..
I'm proud of it. :-)

I didn't know what verse from the Scripture should I put in so I just decided to place whatever is the verse of the day in biblegateway.

For this bookmark, I got a little crazy. I want to emphasize that the fellowship is really helping people - like me. :-)

The verse is one of my favorite verses.

This is more inclined to a yuppie than the general business and working professional but I feel that the message here is very strong. I choose the color scheme and image to be strong also to really bring in the emotion.

God will give the ability, He just needs our availability.

Glory to Him alone.. Adonai

A close friend of mine and a fellow fan, ApexJess, kept on posting insightful quotes from Og Mandino and Anthony Robbins. I found this very helpful. So I began to think about posting articles also that may inspire my balut readers. This will also serve as a tribute to one of the people who have inspired me to be excited about life and about enterprise. He taught me about having the right philosophy, emotions, actions, and results. He is no other than (clap, clap, clap on the background), Jim Rohn. This is one of his article. I am so blessed to have known the works of a man who has been used by God to breathe in a new energy my life. God bless you Jim.

It is a Challenge to Succeed - Article by Jim Rohn

It is a challenge to succeed. If it were not, I’m sure more people would be successful, but for every person who is enjoying the fruit from the tree of success, many more are examining the roots. They are trying to figure it all out. They are mystified and perplexed by what seems to be some strange, complex and elusive secret that must be found if ever success is to be enjoyed. While most people spend most of their lives struggling to earn a living, a much smaller number seem to have everything going their way. Instead of just earning a living, the smaller group is busily engaged in designing and enjoying a fortune. Everything just seems to work out for them. While the much larger group sits in awe at how life can be so unfair, complicated and unjust.

“I am a nice person,” the man says to himself. “How come this other guy is happy and rich, and I’m always struggling?” He asks himself, “I am a good husband, a good father and a good worker. How come nothing seems to work out for me? Life just isn’t fair. I’m even smarter and willing to work harder than some of these other people who just seem to have everything going their way,” he says as he slumps into the sofa to watch another evening of television. But you see you’ve got to be more than a good person and a good worker. You’ve got to become a good planner, and a good dreamer. You’ve got to see the future finished in advance. You’ve got to put in the long hours and put up with the setbacks and the disappointments. You’ve got to learn to enjoy the process of disciplines and of putting yourself through the paces of doing the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable. You’ve got to be prepared and willing to attack the challenges if you want the success because challenges are part of success. Now that may sound like a full menu of activities, but let me assure you that the process of going from average to fortune isn’t really all that difficult. Thinking about it is the difficult part. Anticipating all the effort and the changes and the disciplines is far worse in the mind than in reality. I can promise you that the challenges you’ll meet on the road to success are far less difficult to deal with than the struggles and the disappointments that come from being average. Confronting and overcoming challenges is an exhilarating experience. It does something to feed the soul and the mind. It makes you more than you were before. It strengthens the mental muscles and enables you to become better prepared for the next challenge.

I've often said that to have more, we must first become more, and to become more, we must begin the process of working harder on ourselves than we do on anything else. But in addition to gathering new knowledge, new skills and new experiences; it is also important to discover new emotions. It is how we feel about what we know that makes the biggest difference in how our lives turn out. How we feel about the chances we have and the choices we have determines the intensity of our effort. Whether we try or don’t try. Join or don’t join. Believe or don’t believe.

I’d like for you to discover some strong feelings about your life and about what you want to do with that life. You probably have much of the knowledge and a lot of the experience and perhaps most of the skills that it takes to become successful. What you may be lacking in are the strong feelings about what you want and what you want to do. You may be one of those who have become so involved in the process of earning a living that you’ve forgotten about the choices and the chances you have for designing your own life.

Let these strong feelings help you take a second look at your life and where you’re headed. After all, you’ve only got one life, at least on this planet. So why not make it an adventure in achievement? Why not discover what all you can do and what all you can have? Why not discover how many others you can help and in the process how that can help you?

Why not now take the Challenge to Succeed!

To Your Success,
Jim Rohn
