Last night, my media friends talk about becoming a faithful employee. And we talk about different work issues and our dreams about building our own company. I realized I was not alone in these issues. I saw similar patterns of conflict of interests, faith, doubts, fears, desires, hopes, and many more. Somehow, when I think about it, I known these guys for a long time yet I realized I have not really know them that much. I mean, there are just too many things to discover from one person.

The old woman in the movie Titanic said, “ A woman’s heart is an ocean of many secrets.” And I believe every man has an ocean of many secrets and desires and when you get together with one person and they sort of trust you with a pail of some of their heart's contents. And you also have the honor to trust them back with a pail of yours.:)

When I was still courting my girlfriend, I remember a time when she would not give me any hint if she feels the same way unless I give her some of my feelings.:) So when I told her how much I like her she sort of said, “You are OK”. :) And that is how we progressed; I trust her with my feelings and she trust me with hers.

And it’s more like the same with these media friends- give and take. I’m honored to be trusted with some of their dreams and to trust them my dreams is just awesome.:)

According to Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad Series, there are four types of people in the world: Employee (E Quadrant), Self-Employed (S Quadrant), Business Owner (B Quadrant), and Investors (I Quadrant).

If you read his book, the main criterion of the how a person belong a particular group, whether the person is an employee or self-employed or a business owner or an investor is dependent on where his income came from. If the person's income is from a company where the person is working then he belongs to the E Quadrant. This is the same for other groups and you can read the details in his books.

But do you know that there is such a thing as an E mindset?

You can be an employee but your mindset is of those of a business owner or an investor. If you work for money then you have an employee mindset. Kiyosaki said, "The rich don't work for money, money works for them." "Work to learn, don't work for money."
If you work for money that means you have a price. But that should not be so because you are priceless. You are there to learn and the best way to learn is to work it yourself. It's easy to spot those with an employee mindset, just listen to the words they often say. If they talk about the benefits, or bigger pay, or the security, that person more likely has an employee mindset. Ussually the statements goes like this, "Well, I like going to company A since they pay much higher than my current company plus they have good benefits." Or you might hear something like this," Oh well, they are not getting me to do what they want until I get my increase." Or something like, "If the company only pays me this much then I will perform better." Or something like, "I am secure in this company because I have these benefits." Or "Are the benefits in Company A bitter than our company?" If you hear words like that froma person then that person has an E mindset. They based their prosperity, security and their financial promotion in what other people can provide for them.

While being in the E Quadrant is not bad, having an E mindset is really not smart. I believe that having an E mindset hinders intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth. Why? Because if you have an E mindset then you have a false sense of security because your security is based in what other people will give you. Because it makes a person feel motivated to go an extra mile (in his/her career life) only if the company or the boss is giving the person the money he/she wants. Because the person now finds security on man and close his/her mind on what God can do.

Do you have an E mindset? If you do, then you need to renew your mind. If you want to move from E Quadrant to the B or I Quadrants then you need to change the way you think. Stop thinking, what you can get from the company, think instead what can you learn from what you are doing.

God has so much in store for you so renew your mind.
Philippians 4:8 says:
“…Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Hi,
It's been awhile since I've written something in this blog.:-)
I really want to write but I can't seem to find the right time to do it.
Yesteryday was Joyce's (my dear girlfriend) birthday.
She just turned 19 and we will be celebrating our 3rd year of being together next month.
I should say it's been quite a challenge to make it this far.:-)
We had a lot of adjustmentsand every month we overcome challenges and encounter new adjustments.
I know a lot of guys want to be in my place and be her guy and I recognize that and I'm very proud of it.:-)
However most of them didn't know its tough.
I'm just thinking of all the conflicts we had as a workout for our future.
There is more to come as we continue growing in each others shoes. :-)
I'm excited in a way since we really compliment each other.
You know, the more she grow the more she becomes prettier and prettier.
And the more I was her weaknesses, the more I realized that I really love her.:-) Char!

Today, the Philippines got excited for the fight of Manny Pacquiao against Erik Morales. Most of the people around me are talking about it since yesterday. I got excited myself, truly, whether I like it or not, Manny is in a way fighting for every Filipino. His victory is the victory of every single Filipino. Every punch that he throws is a punch thrown for every single Filipino.

I am not much of a boxing fan but somehow the Manny mania got me into it. I look forward to his fight and feel proud for his every victory.:)

I believe that this is what one of the things the Philippines need. We need to know that inside every Filipino is the capacity to be a great person.

Indeed, God created every single one of us for greatness.

Right now... i just felt that kind of breaking feeling.

It's like its too much... and you come to God and tell Him, "iehfhufhewrhqwjdlwa"because you have no word to describe how you feel.

Your mind cannot fully grasp it...

Your breathing is like.. from life to death...

Your whole being is utterly consumed by your passion...

You are teared from left to right..and from right to left...

You cannot sleep with excitement..

You feel that you don't need food to eat because you are always full..

Even in silence the noise of that love will not cease..

And deep down inside you know that... you know that... you know that unless you act

On that passion.. you will continuously get stirred to the point that it becomes very painful..

Two Wednesdays ago Pastor Noel talked about when we are in the crossroads of our lives.
He said, "When you are in the crossroads in your life, remember these two things:
1. Time is runnning out.
2. You are born for something bigger."

Realization:
Time is running out. - It's a waste of time to be depressed or to be discouraged.
There is a whole world out there that needs me to fight back. There are so much more to
live for and be happy. Instead of being depressed I will choose to be happy. Instead of
being discourage, I will fight back discouragement and move forward to what God has tasked me to do.
I will not allow myself to go into the rut. I will rise up to the challenge. I will be what God whats me to be
in Jesus' name!

You are born for something bigger. - I am not just born to fart and die. I am here because God has a purpose for my life.
While there are many people who missed their life's purpose, I will be different, I will not allow myself to miss it.

The verses above says that our health and our spirit may fail us and grow weak but God will remain to be the strength in our hearts. Today, remember, God is the strength of your heart. You can say that personally out loud! God is the strength of my heart!

God is the strength of your heart. When you feel down, you will rise up because God is the strength of your heart. When you feel like giving up you will have courage because God is the strength of your heart. When all hopes seemed gone, you will have a renewed hope because God is the strength of your heart. When your future seems unclear, you will will not faint or fear but you will have strong conviction that God is in control because God is the strength of your heart.

Today, start your day with the thought that God is the strength of your heart. You will not grow weary or faint because your hope is in the Lord and the Bible says God will renew your strength and you will soar on wings like an eagle!

I just noticed that the new blogspot works closer to a word processor.
It actually highlights a text if it is misspelled.:-)

Anyway, I'm blogging while waiting for Justice League movie in youtube to fully load.
It's really fun looking in to these movies.
I don't have cable to I just watch it over the internet.
Today, I had a choice to program or read book.
I choose neither, I choose watching movie - bad.:-D

Two days a go I started watching this new series titled, "Heroes".
It's like X-men but the powers are different and the presentation is different.
The story-line is also different and interesting. Right now it's on it's 6th episode and it's really
interesting.

All in all life is exciting... its really more interesting if you are doing something and you know only with the help of God will you ever succeed. Makes you feel like you are facing a giant.
That's why the song from Casting Crowns titled, "Voice of Truth" is my found favorite song.

Good bye dream #1.
It looks like my dream with my family will not come to pass. I want to blame others but it's probably my fault. I needed all the support I can get but I just got... nada..
So I quit the dream.

I still have dream #2 which looks more promising than dream #1. I can work it out. I hope my partners will not just sit by and watch me make things happen like what my partners in #1 did.

I also have dream #3 and #4 which will mature 6-8 months from now.

#4 is vague but is a probably a good "to do".
Do I still need to mature more? I don't really know..... God Help!!!!

Somehow, having a lot of dream is bad. I want to drop one so I can focus on the very important. I guess I need to slow down again and just feel the whole scenario.

So saying bye bye to one dream is not really bad.. it probably just a good thing.

But I am saddened by my partners... they don't dream as much as I do.

One basketball coach once said, "Never underestimate the heart of a champion".

And when you really look at it, its the strength of the heart that will really count when facing adversity.

If your heart is weak, you quickly fall back and grew weak and quit but if your heart is strong, you will rise up in adversities.

This will bring us to the question, "How to strengthen ones heart?"

The Bible says, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

If God is the strength of you heart then your heart has a very strong foundation.

Then "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you". That's when you become "more than conqueror".

The Bible says that if God is with you then anyone who is against you will NOT prosper.

This brings us to another question, "How can I make God the strength of my heart?"

The promises of God is available to those who call on him. The Lord says "Call unto me and I will answer thee." So I believe that when we call on the Lord he will hear us and he said that if we will admit our dependence on him, he will raise us up.

I believe that it will all start in seeking him and knowing him. The Bible says "He who knows the Son knows God". Knowing the Son means accepting Jesus as thr Lord and Savior of your life.

Allow me to lead you in a prayer of accepting the Lord in your life:

Follow this prayer and make it you own prayer:
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins, I'm making you Lord and Savior of my life.

If you prayed this prayer truthfully in your heart, the Bible says you are now a child of God.

I once chatted with a friend about my mentors and how they challenge me to become a better person and how they inspired me to grow and to create a better future not only for myself but also for those who are around me; I mentioned my pastor(N Centino), Joel Osteen, J Maxwell, R Thomson and all the like.

Then my friend asked me, "What about your mom? Is she also your mentor". I was a bit shock for about 10 milliseconds to the question but I finally got hold of myself and searched within my heart who is my mom in my life... then I told my friend that she isn't my mentor bcoz she is more than that.. she more than mold my life.. she created my life.. she nurtured my life.. put it back together when it was shattered.. hold it together when storms tried to shake it.. feed it.. literally feed it.. and gave her own life just to make sure that my life will live and strive and grow and have a better future than what she had. - She is my hero.

To my friend who asked the question (you know who you are).. thank you. You made me think a well even in a split second. I appreciated my mom more and have acknowledge her more. I thank the Lord I have such a mom.

I wish my mom is in to computer so she can read this blog but she isn't. I will just tel her personally.. well I think I already told her but probably I'll tell her again.. so that she wont forget that she is a hero and she is very special.

Pattern Recognition

Pattern recognition is an essential aspect of analysis. Probably most of the analysis that we do today is related to patterns. Humans know that a thing (an abstract object) is ball because that “thing” matches the pattern of a ball (it’s roundness, it’s size, it’s texture and etc). We know that the “thing” that seats next to you is another human being because it matches the pattern of a human (the built, the face, the feature, the texture, the smell, the sound, and etc).

When humans look at a “thing”, information from different senses are extracted and that information is feed to the brain and then “probably” the brain processes it and compare it with the existing patterns it met before. If the “sample image” is not in the library of patterns, it registers it as something new. The brain then tells the rest of the body that the “sample image” is something new. If the brain recognizes the pattern it then looks at the behavior tagged to that pattern. It “probably” asks “what does this pattern do?” It then “recalls” the past behavior of the pattern and from there analyzes the future behavior of that pattern.

An example scenario would be, say you are watching a ball game, and you are enjoying the game then suddenly the ball flew up in the air, right above you. At that moment, your brain took a sample of the event. It then realized that the thing flying over you is a ball and from the past experience or from an experienced that you witnessed you know that what goes up usually goes down. It also then realized that the ball should fall on you or near you. It also realized that the ball (being a bowling ball) is hard and it should be painful when it hits your face. Your brain signals the danger alarm and it will cause you to run for your life.

Today, the in the computer science world, we can build a simple A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) that will analyze simple events. What it will do is to mimic what the brain does basing on what is discussed above. To analyze we need to:
1. Capture the event. (Actually just get a sample image)
2. Generate a model of the event. (Realize that the event here could be a thing)
3. Check if the model is already recorded in the “Event’s Library”.
4. If it’s not yet there, saved the event.
5. If it’s there don’t record.
6. Extract the behavior tagged to that event.
7. There should also be a way to get another sample of the event and tagged the recorded attributes to the existing tags.


That should make our lives less complicated. (You wish.) Seven steps that looks simple but honestly, these steps lacks a lot of things. There are more to do than this and each step has more than 5 sub-steps. But I think this can be done, we just need to make our requirements as simple as it can be.

We need to limit our requirements otherwise we will get nowhere. For simplicity, we just need to spot a 2-dimensional “thing” and predict its behavior in a 2-dimensional space.

Speaking of 2-dimensional space, another aspect of analysis via pattern recognition is what I call “spatial awareness”. The observer should be aware what space the object is moving. So in this case, we don’t want to care bout that since we assumed that we are observing a 2-dimensional object in a 2-dimensional space.

What we need to do now is to capture the “image” of a 2D object. It’s height and width and other information necessary to describe the physical appearance of the object (including the color). Record it and place it in the library. Get a sample of the behavior of the object and then record it.

I found a small room again.I'm not sure if this is really my place or
this is just a room to help me find my real place.
Just like any small room that I found, I took a peek
and my blood rushed with excitement.
But unlike before, I didn't had a hard time breathing.
It seemed that I already got accustomed in finding rooms.
I can't help but think that God is preparing me for
a better place.Anyway, this room that I found is not a thrilling as the other
rooms that I found before but I feel peace inside.
This new room is not as astounding as the place I want to have.Yet, who knows God will bring down the walls of this room and build me a bigger
new place. After all God always has a plan. Even when we make a mistake,
He will always make a way so that it will turned up for the good and not for evil.
