Last Saturday, while walking along Lahug area, a lady suddenly shouted to the top of her lungs," Aku cellphone, gi snatch!!!!! Hoy!...aku cellphone!!! Tabang!!!" (her cellphone was stolen). When I look to check, a man leaped from a yellow jeepney and took a sprint toward a narrow road in Brgy. Camputhaw. The lady shouted so loud that the people around the area immediately took noticed of the snatcher running away from the lady. A group of "standbys" tried to grab him but he just took off trying to get away. The "standbys" run after him and in about 15 mins pinned him down to the ground and had him handcuffed by the "tanods". I was there with a camera and took a photo of the snatcher . The man wearing a black shirt is the snatcher, he had blood in his face and it looked like he took quite a blow from the "standbys". One person said that the standbys used a golf club to bring him down. I was just thinking I hope every snatcher will suffer the same fate as this person.

Wow i'm impressed that the standby's helped that girl.I had the same experience before in Lapu-lapu mactan long time ago when i was working there.I knew the guy he used to be the dispatcher in the jeepney terminal & he is an addict. He grabbed the cellphone from my hand & i was crying out loud hoping that somebody would help me.We were like playing tug of war.Good thing i shouted "LORD PLEASE HELP ME" maybe his mind was enlighten not to pursue what he was doing so he just let me go with my phone. That's the time that the NOKIA cellphone was just barely born in the world. That was one of my nightmare in mactan.
I was once a victim of those snatchers in that particular area where I used to work. They took my bag with all impt. things on it esp. the old pic of my dad which i really treasured so much..it lefts me a scar in my hand and still has that trauma. Saddest thing..they didn't caught the robbers & keeps on promising us that they will get them. Oh geesh! Miresi! anang snatchera. Ginoo nalang mahibaw nila.
