It was June this year when we decided to have a "theme"
on what to wear on Wednesdays. We had neck-tie day, formal day, and this one.
I forgot what was the theme for that week but I did remember it was a lot of fun.:)

How does it feel to be #4?
















How does it feel to be #4? Or let me rephrase it and ask it this way, How does it fee to be #4 when there are just 4 contestants?

It was one of those times, where you can't get a shot and your hands seemed too stiff to get a bucket. It was one of those times where your friends give you an L sign and you seemed can't prove them wrong. It was one of those times when like in the show Smallville, where Clark Kent got in contact with Kryptonite and lost his mojo.

But it was also one of those times when you just get up and wipe the dust off your shoulders, shrug your critics and manage to get a come-back before the night ends.:D My very first 39 points.:D

Deal or No Deal 100 tickets!!

















It was one of those nights where you win it all and take it all.
The banker (or ticket-er) gave Joyce a choice to pick 20 tickets or take her chance to bring home 100 or 12 tickets. She took the risk and bag the 100 tickets (actually just 50 tickets since the price is divided by two). We captured it and we went home really happy.:)

My girlfriend once brought this virus through her USB drive. She picked it up in an internet cafe near her school and she was curious enough to activate it. :)

When I realize what she has done, I then check the kind of damage this script caused to my laptop and my initial investigation tells me that it did not cause anything but populated itself to all my drives. (I could be wrong!) It even claims to protect your PC. But a virus is a virus and should be terminated. (evil grin)
Here are the steps to remove this malicious file:
Once activated this script will copy 3 files to your drives:
 - Autorun.inf,
- ntidr.vbs and
- Radz_services.vbs
And also copies SysRes.vbs to C:\WINDOWS.

Step 0 make sure that you open all your drives.
And you have set "show hidden files" in Tools->Folder Options.. View tab.
Step 1. Download Process Explorer (freeware)
Step 2. In the process Explorer under explorer.exe
find wscript.exe
Step 3. Right click then kill process.
Step 4. find autorun.inf, ntidr.vbs and radz_services.vbs in all your drive.
delete the 3 files in the drives.
Step 5. Go to C:\WINDOWS and delete SysRes.vbs.
Step 6. find all instance of ntidr and radz in the registry.
I found them in
HKLM\Software\Microsoft Visual Studio\FileMRUList\ (probably because I attempted to open this file in Visual Studio)
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MountPoint2\ something encrypted texts
under Shell\AutoPlay, Shell\Auto Run, Shell\Explore and Shell\Open

Step 7. Search for sysres.vbs in the registry.
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscript.exe" "C:\WINDOWS\SysRes.vbs"

Step 8. Search for ntidr and radz in your computer and delete them.


This steps if followed religiously should have fixed the problem.
To check if it the problem is fixed reboot then check you drives (make sure you safely remove USB).
If problem is still there then you must have missed something in your steps so go all over the steps again (religiously). If problem is still there google it and find solution elsewhere. :)

I never thought I'd compete in a speech contest but last week, in a drop of a hat, I said YES to participating on a speech contest. I thought, "wow what's the worst thing that could happen? Losing the contest? Maybe."

I soon realized that the worst thing that could happen is to freeze in front of the crowd and lose the contest. I was scared as I imagined myself choking in front of so many people. I imagined the pat in the back of my friends as they say, "you did well" when in fact I froze. Those words of "comfort" is like a sharp knife stabbed through my rib cage and into my heart and every time they decided to comfort me this way, I feel then reaching for that imaginary knife and wiggle it like an endless torture. The night before the contest day, I did not do anything but watch Boston Legal. I watched and listen to the lawyer's eloquent speech in the courtroom and their sensual banter in the office then I thought to myself, "Can I use these tomorrow? Well, evaluating a speech is just like a lawyer, appearing before the jury telling them to free this man or woman because her speech is amazing. " I felt a bit of pressure as I imagine myself again choking while speaking before the audience. Then I reminded myself, "This is just a speech contest." Then I fell asleep.

Contest day came and I was thinking of not coming to the venue:) But then I feel that I have to go. I went there with my friends. I saw my office mate rehearsing her piece then I released wow I have nothing to rehearse. I did not prepare anything. When the contest started, I stood up, feeling a bit of momentum and then in some part of the speech, I lost focus and I forgot what to say. I just made up some words and then try to hit the 2 minute mark of the contest requirement. Right there and then, I know its over- I already lost. I want to apologize to everyone for not making the jump but I know it will humiliate me. My friends, then started giving me my dreaded "pat in the back". Oh no.... I felt every pat and heard every word. But then I realized that I don't have to say sorry. My friends did not need me to say sorry. They were there to give the best support they can give and I am too lame to understand they want to make me feel better. So all that's left is for me to forgive myself. "I'm sorry Jo, I did not made it.", I said to myself. Then deep down inside, I heard me say, "It's alright.:) You had worst.:)"

It is said that failure is a better teacher than success. And I would say, winning is way better than failing. So what did I learn from this experience? I learned that I need to learn how to relax. I need to learn to brainwash myself to excellence and to always have fallback plan just in case I choke. For me, this is more of a mental exercise and exposure. I look at this like making a jar of clay, I will simply persist until I succeed.

"The case was dropped.", the gangster replied. "Why what happened?", asked the doctor. "Well, he died.", answered the gangster. "What?", suspiciously exclaimed the doctor. The gangster added, "Yeah, he was found dead. Apparently, he killed himself; He shot himself in the back."

Yesterday, me and my mom watched Harold and Kumar Escape from G Bay. The movie's sexual content and crude humor is heavy so we did a lot of fast forwards. But I found a gem in this movie in a form of a poem. I googled it and found it's title and I would like to share it with you guys:

What's the difference between a regular concert and a worship concert? This question went through my mind as I saw a man coming out from the back of the Waterfront Ballroom stage with a guitar strapped in his shoulders and a book in his left hand. Then he read a passage which talks about the time when Jesus Christ appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. He then highlighted the words, "and they came to worship Him". The crowd roared a thundering shout and the man song the words,"Oh, and I have come to worship You."















I've been to some regular concerts and some worship concert. And I found a difference between regular concert and a worship concert. In a regular concert, the communication during the event is between the artist and the crowd. When the artist sings a beautiful song, the crowd will go on and say, "Wow, what a beautiful song". But in a worship concert, there are three communication process that takes place:
1. Artist and God
2. Artist and crowd
3. Crowd and God.














The artists' job is to lead the crowd not to focus on them but to focus to the one who deserves the glory and the honor and the praise. So when a song that ministers to the people is sang, the crowd will say, "Wow, what a wonderful God." Notice the shift of focus - from the artist to God.




And when the God is enthroned then He will inhabits the praises of His people. He can change the lives of the people and the people can open their hearts and God can touch their spirit. This is one of the wonderful things about singing songs to God it allows us to open our hearts and when we are open we can allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us. A Spirit to spirit connection is established and as the Jesus said, "... God is a Spirit and we should worship Him in spirit and in truth."

Gossip Girl


It's been a few months now since I saw the last episode of Gossip Girl. You got it right guys, I'm GG fan now. :) My girlfriend, Joyce drag me into it.:) One time, she asked me to download whole season of GG to which I gave here a legitimate excuse why I can't do it. Days later, we had a fight and to make it up to her, I told her that we watch Gossip Girl together on Friday night.:) She was sooooo happy to hear it from me, I could hear the imaginary cheers and claps engulfing the air. Now, come Friday night, she brought a DVD of GG and we watch it. She gave me a run-through of the main characters as the show is running. It did not take me long enough to be intrigued... fascinated.. and mesmerized by the drama that weaved the characters together in the show - I became a fan. Of course, the presence of the sexy and intriguing, Serena Van der Woodsen and the beautiful and ruthless, Blair Waldorf helped keep my eyes glued to the tube for awhile yet what kept me going are the delemas that each character has to face to live a life in the elite Manhattan.

Now, the show will be on it's next season and I'm a bit excited of what's going to happen.

Once a blogger is always a blogger.


Once a blogger is always a blogger.


After a looooong slumber....I am now awake...alive.. and hopefully enthusiastic.:D

I hope I still have my readers, as if I really have readers in the first place. But any how, I miss blogging. I did not went away to a far..far..away place unreached by the internet.. I am just around.. banging my head in my work. Like many of the "working" people today.. I am in fact busy. I don't know what happened to me but I just couldn't find the time to blog. I have ideas here and there but I just couldn't drag myself in front of my PC to blog. This is probably the longest blog break that I took. I probably did not have enough why to blog. I was told that if a person has enough why to do something then he will do it.:) So no reason to blog is a biggie of this hiatus.

Why blog now?
I don't know, maybe I saw this photo of me kneeling made me thought of sharing it. I want to share fun stuffs. A lot had happened to me, first, I lost almost all of my business but I found God in my life. I lost a lot of drive in my life but I found a new Driver - Jesus. Yeah, every now and then I take over but now I figured He is a better driver than me. I attended a wedding and believe it or not it made me feel better about settling down... but woooah... hold it right there.. I AM NOT SETTLING DOWN ANYTIME SOON... hahahaha. I'm still scared. hahahahaha...
Bitaw.. God has His time.

Purpose Driven










My mother once lectured in a Sunday school about God laughing at people (Psalm 2:4). "Why should I care if God laughs or not?", I asked myself. It didn't really made any sense back then. Probably because I had the wrong question in mind or somehow I could not make any sense of a laughing God. Few weeks ago, I heard a sermon regarding the universe and how big it is compare to the earth. The speaker said something that really amazed me he said, "If our solar system is a size of a quarter (coin) then the whole Milky way galaxy is the same size as the whole North American continent. It's that small (holding up the quarter in his hand)." Wow!!!! It blew my mind!!!

I thought to myself, all the bragging and all the accomplishments that I attained and I can ever attain amounts to nothing compared to the Milky way galaxy. How much more the whole universe?

No wonder God laughs looking at us. We probably look very funny when we try to lift ourselves up. We probably look funny when we try to brag and think we are larger than life. We probably look hilarious thinking that we are better than others. All these things are nothing compared to what God has done. We are so small in the light of the universe and the Bible says that, ...
God has measured off the heavens with his fingers?" (Isaiah 40:12)

God is very very very very HUGE and we are very very very small.

no wonder that the Psalmist wrote in Psalms 8:
3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?

June 14's concert is NOT postponed... I'll take SONICflood's spot. :)


It's been a busy week for me but singing with the band is
always a great experience. I'm excited for June 14, eversince
SONICflood's concert delay was announced, my band and I keeps on
practicing so we can fill in the spot.:)
From Atlanta, Georga to Hongkong then to Singapore and now Cebu City..
it's just amazing! I am so much blessed to be able to sing and just
pursue my passion.
